VPN Installation - Revised 11/10/13

Pain & Spine utilizes a Sonicwall VPN to allow remote connectivity to the eClinicalWorks System.

The VPN requires a Windows Operating System.

1. Determine if your operating system is 32 or 64 Bit.   Click this link and the website will give you a result of if you are running 32 or 64 bit Windows in the section "Automatic version detection results".


2. After determining the windows version of windows you are running, download the following files pertaining to your version of windows.
32-Bit Sonicwall Client 
64-Bit Sonicwall Client

3. At the Welcome to the SonicWALL Global VPN Client Setup Wizard screen, click Next.

4. Select "I Agree" and click Next.

5. Select Everyone or Just Me based on your preference and click Next.

6. On the Confirm Installation screen, click Next.

7. Check the second option for "Start SonicWALL Global VPN Client when the installer finishes.  Optional to check "Start SonicWALL Global VPN Client every time I log in".  Click Close.

8. On the New Connection Wiard Screen, click Next.

9. Select Remote Access and click next.

10. Enter bcips-raleigh.gotdns.com in the IP Address or Domain Name field and BC IPS Office Raleigh in the Connection Name field.  Click Next.

11. Check Create a Desktop shortcut for this connection.  Optional to check Enable this connection when program is launched.

11. When the SonicWALL Gloval VPN Client opens, click on BC IPS Office Raleigh and click on Enable to connect.  You will need to do this each time to connect to the office to use eClinicalWorks as well as if you are ever disconnected for any reason.

You will need two pieces of information to connect to the VPN.  The Pre-Shared Key and a username and password contact Newcomb Computers by phone 252-654-0055 or email support@newcombcomputers.com to receive this information.  The Pre-Shared Key you will only need once on the initial connection to the VPN, but the username/password you will need each time you connect.
